On April 1st, 2022 Lao Hyundae Black Stone Co., Ltd (LHBS) received its Investment License from the Laotian Ministry of Planning and investment (MPI) for the Sokdee Concession, which includes our flagship asset, the Namthom copper-gold- porphyry, situated within a 50 square kilometre tenement.
During the last month, Annamite completed infill soil sampling at Namthom with our field team collecting 80 samples on a 200m by 100m grid. Gold and multi-element assay results confirm the initial anomaly and indicated a larger footprint than previously outlined. Our geologists have also mapped a wider alteration footprint than previously seen. An additional 84 regional soil samples were collected over the remainder of the tenement in place of stream sediment sampling which is precluded by the presence of rice paddies along most rivers. Annamite plans to start drill testing the Namthom porphyry with a a 1,500-1,700m DD programme in about a week, after the Lao New Year.In parallel a drone magnetic survey will be flown, to better understand the structure and alteration zoning at Namthom.
Annamite is now employing about 20 staff on the ground, using the combination of our strong expertise built over the last three years in Laos and hiring local Lao personnel in the Hin Herp district, with training provided to build their capabilities. Â We have also established a field base in Navai village, with accommodation, storage and office space. Â Annamite is committed to continue supporting the local community in Namthom and Navai villages through employment of local teams and the purchase of goods and services.
