Annamite’s subsidiary Lao Hyundae Black Stone (LHBS), together with its partner Rio Tinto Exploration (RTX), is pleased to announce the commencement of core drilling at Mouk prospect in its Sokdee Project. Four inclined core holes are planned, for a total of 1600 – 2000 metres: the first drill-test of a multi-element soil anomaly that coincides with a depth-extensive chargeability response, both extending 1600m along strike and probably representing a partly eroded porphyry system. Based on the results, additional core holes could be drilled at either Namthom or Mouk prospect.
It is the second Diamond Drilling campaign in the Sokdee Project after the eight holes totalling 1978m completed last year at Namthom and the initial Reverse Circulation holes at Spine, Palm, and Grassy for a total of 600m done in April 2023.
To secure its social license to operate, Annamite has expanded its team this year with a Community Relations Officer and contracted a consulting firm to support key workflow on stakeholder engagement, land ownership plus land access, planning, and land users’ compensation.
